A Safe Space to Talk,
Heal & Grow
We work with anxiety, depression, grief, burnout and major life transitions. We are a new counselling practice based in Ormskirk also offering online sessions for clients out of the area.
We help adults who want calm, steady support during difficult times. You might be dealing with anxiety, low mood, stress at work, relationship problems or grief. You might want someone who listens without judgement and helps you make sense of what is happening. We work in a simple and practical way that fits real life.
Ormskirk Counselling is new to the area in 2026, so we are offering our first 26 clients the opportunity to receive ALL their sessions at £40 for the duration of their time with us.
Book 10 sessions and pay £360.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step.
We offer a free 30-minute consultation to give you space to meet your counsellor,
talk about what’s going on for you, and decide at your own pace if this feels right.

Our Counsellors
Sarah C Kavanagh
I am a counsellor with a professional background that spans children’s social care, education, charity work, and photography. My professional journey has given me a deep understanding of the emotional worlds of both children and adults, and the complex systems that can shape people’s lives.

Having worked closely with children and families from different walks of life, I bring a grounded, holistic, compassionate approach that recognises each person’s unique experiences and strengths.
My personality guides the way I work. Calm, patient, and empathetic. I offer a space that is entirely yours where you are free to be your organic self. You may want to talk about the here and now, or look back into your past to better understand how your lived experiences shaped the person you are today. Alternatively, you may have worries or wishes about the future which you’ve kept to yourself. Having a non-judgemental space can be the optimum environment for change to occur.
Phil Armorgie
My style is calm and straightforward. I listen closely and help you make sense of what you are facing. I do not rush the process. I also do not rely on jargon. My aim is to give you space to think, understand your situation and feel more confident about your next steps.

Before training as a therapist, I spent many years in the music business and in digital marketing. These roles involved pressure, long hours and constant change. I worked with a wide range of people and learned how stress, conflict and uncertainty affect real lives. This experience shapes the way I work today.
I retrained as a therapist because I wanted to work directly with people and offer support that makes a real difference. I completed my training later in life, which means I bring a mature and grounded approach to each session.
I work with anxiety, depression, grief, burnout and major life transitions. I see clients in Ormskirk and I also offer online sessions.
If you would like to talk or arrange a first session, you can contact me by email or phone.
